Can treatments have optional extras?
Yes. An add-on can also be a standalone treatment, so a patch test, a skin booster or an extra area is set up once and offered both ways. Each treatment controls which extras it allows, and the booking page adjusts the room time and price as they are chosen. If a client adds something during the appointment, staff can put it on the booking afterwards so the payment record and the reports are right.
Can I require card deposits for aesthetics and beauty treatments?
Yes. For high-value aesthetics treatments (like Botox, dermal fillers, or laser courses), you can require mandatory Stripe deposits or full upfront pre-payments before a slot is reserved.
How do medical intake forms and consent questions work?
You can create custom consultation forms that clients complete during online booking. Ask for relevant allergy information, treatment history and patch-test details before the appointment. Review the answers yourself; a completed form does not establish that a treatment is suitable.
Can I prevent double-booking our treatment rooms or laser machines?
Yes! With our Physical Rooms & Resources Manager, you attach rooms (e.g. Laser Suite, Beauty Room 1 & 2) or machines directly to services. Slotivo guarantees a room cannot be double-booked, even if two therapists are free.
Can each therapist set custom prices and treatment durations?
Yes. You can assign default service durations and prices, or let specific practitioners (e.g. Senior Aesthetician or Junior Tech) override their own timing and rates.
How does Slotivo send automated reminders?
Slotivo automatically sends confirmation and reminder emails, plus lock-screen push notifications in the customer app. You can set reminder windows such as 24 hours and 2 hours before the appointment.

VAT on your services
Hairdressing moved to the 9% VAT rate on 1 July 2026. You only have to register for VAT once your services pass €42,500 in a rolling 12 months. Set your prices the way you charge them; Slotivo doesn’t add VAT to your clients’ bookings.
